The emergence and progressive consolidation of a society built and articulated around the big data is giving rise to profound transformations in the knowledge construction and distribution processes as well as in the interpretation of artifacts – social, cultural and political. These transformations also imply new forms of access and interaction with the digital (or digitized) cultural material, placing the focus of our attention on problems of different order.
